Call for Expressions of Interest to participate in "Japanaroo 2022"

The Japanaroo Committee is pleased to announce the call for expressions of interest from organisations and companies which are interested in organising events at “Japanaroo 2022” to be held from 3 to 11 September 2022.
 
“Japanaroo” is a new initiative, under a public-private partnership, to promote exchange and collaboration between Japan and Australia across culture, food, tourism, education, career development, sports, and technology and innovation, through organising an annual event in Sydney and beyond.
 
Last year, “Japanaroo 2021” was held from August to October and “Japanaroo+” in December, with on-site and online events organised by Japanese and Australian organisations and companies collectively like a “potluck party”, enhancing Japan’s profile in Australia and promoting exchange and collaboration.
 
This year, “Japanaroo 2022” will be held from Saturday, 3 September to Sunday, 11 September. Some major events, such as Japan Expo, Bonsai Exhibition, and Matsuri Japan Festival in Chatswood, have already been decided. Participating organisations and companies can use the promotional logo and their events may be promoted on the Japanaroo website and social media.
 
Organisations and companies interested in participating in “Japanaroo 2022” by organising events during this period are invited to submit the application form by Friday, 15 July. The events need to satisfy certain conditions. Funding of and responsibility for the individual events are to be borne by the respective organisers. The Japanaroo Committee will not take responsibility for matters arising from individual events. Please refer to the documents below.
