- Bookings can be made 1 day (possible to book by 12pm for the next day appointment) to 3 months in advance. You cannot book for a visit on the day.
- Please make only 1 booking for family members or partners.
- You may check-in 10 minutes prior to your appointment time.
- If you are late 30 minutes, the booking will be automatically canceled.
- You cannot make a duplicate appointment.
- To reschedule the appointment date or time, please cancel the existing booking first and please make a new booking. Without canceling it, the system will not allow you to make a new booking as a duplicated booking.

- If you have multiple applications, please book only one of the applications to schedule a visit. Please let us know that you have several applications when we serve you in the office.
- Incomplete required documents will not be processed and you may be required to come back with a new appointment at a later date. Please make sure to check and prepare for all the required documents before visiting us.
- You are redirected to complete the booking form on the external third-party online booking website. It is minimised to input the personal information on the site.

Third party booking site
The Consulate-General of Japan in Sydney uses a third-party website and software to manage appointment bookings. Your personal information, including your name and contact details, will be collected by the Consulate via the third party website to book your appointment. By proceeding with this booking, you are consenting to the collection of this information by the third-party on behalf of the Consulate for booking purposes.
Purpose of use
The information acquired through this booking process will be used and stored for booking and visa processing purposes only
Information collection
All information submitted by the user while scheduling an appointment online may be stored, transferred and shared by Consulate staff with any of its affiliated agencies, partners and any law enforcement agencies as would be required under law.
Limitations on use and provision
Except in cases of legal disclosure requests, illegal access, threats and other unlawful act or other special reasons, the information acquired will not be used by the Consulate for any purposes other than booking or visa processing nor will it be provided to any third-party. However, statistical information regarding access to the website or generic information on users' attributes may be made public.
Measures to ensure security
The Consulate takes every necessary measure to manage acquired information appropriately, including through use of Secure Sockets Layer (SSL) protocols to prevent the leakage, loss or destruction of acquired information.
Disclosure of personal information
We will not respond to requests for the disclosure of personal information of booking system users, except in cases of legal disclosure requests.
Indemnity
The Consulate endeavors to secure the personal information collected through the booking website. However, no data protection or security measures are completely secure. Despite all the measures we have put in place, we cannot guarantee the security of your information, particularly in relation to transmissions over the internet. In no event will the Consulate-General of Japan in Sydney be liable for damages of any kind, including without limitation, direct or indirect, incidental or consequential damages (including, but not limited to, damages for lost profits, business interruption and loss of programs or information) arising out of the use of or inability to use the Consulate’s website or the online booking website, or any information provided on the website.

予約サイトは英語表記になります。予約フォームも英語で入力してください。
The online booking site is written in English. Please fill it out in English.
1. 「CUSTOMER DETAILS」を入力 Fill out the “CUSTOMER DETAILS”.
2. 「Type of Services」(手続き項目)、来館日時を選択 Select Type of Services, and Date and Time from the drop-down menu
Type of Services (各手続き項目)は下記のとおりです。お間違えないようお選びください。

●パスポート申請:Passport Application (Japanese national only)
●警察証明書申請:Police Certificate Application
● 各種証明申請(在留証明、署名証明、婚姻証明、出生証明等の身分事項証明、その他証明):Certificate of Residence, Signature & Others
● 戸籍(出生届、婚姻届等)・国籍(国籍喪失届等)関連の届出:Registration of Birth, Marriage & Others

3. 入力確認チェック Verification
「Verification」の「私はロボットではありません」チェックボックスにチェックを入れ、続く質問にお答えくださ い。

4. 予約フォーム提出(Submit)Submit the booking form
質問解答後、「SUBMIT」ボタンを押し、予約手続き完了です。
After answering the verification question, please click “SUBMIT” button to complete the process.
5. 予約番号の確認 Check the booking reference number
「Submit」ボタンを押し、予約が完了すると、すぐに画面に予約番号(例 SYD03333333333)が表示されます。その番号のスクリーンショットを撮られるか、または正確に番号をメモしてください(予約確認の E メールも自動送信され ます。)。入館の際、番号札発券機の画面に予約番号の入力が求められます。
Please check your booking reference number. When you click “SUBMIT” button, the booking will be completed and the confirmation prompt message will be popped up with a unique booking reference number SYD03333333333. Please take the screenshot or write it down accurately as you will be required to input the number into the check-in Kiosk when you arrive at our office. The confirmation email will be also sent to your nominated email address.
予約日時の変更及びキャンセル方法について How to reschedule or cancel your booking
予約日、予約時間の変更をされたい場合、既存の予約を一旦キャンセルされ、新たにご予約ください。 既存の予約をキャンセルせずに、変更したい日時を先にご予約することはできませんのでご注意ください(システム上重複予約となります)。
キャンセルは、予約完了時に送信される確認 E メール中のキャンセル用のリンク「clicking here」をクリックするこ とで実行されます。 もし予約確認メールが見つからない、またはキャンセルできない場合はお電話にてご連絡ください。
To reschedule the appointment date and time, please cancel the existing booking first and please make a new booking. Without canceling the existing booking, the system will not allow you to book a new booking as a duplicated booking.

ご来館時のご注意 Notes when you arrive
● チェックインについて Check-in
入館時、番号札発券機(Kiosk)から番号札を取られ、番号が呼ばれるまでお待ちください。番号札を取られる際、発券機画面から手続き項目を選ばれると、予約番号の入力が求められます。予約番号を事前にご用意ください。
Please check-in from the kiosk ticket machine to enter our office when you arrive. For that, you are required to select the type of service and input the booking reference number on the screen. Please prepare for the reference number beforehand. As a numbered ticket will be issued, please take it and wait until your number is called.

手続きが無駄なくスムーズに進められるよう、お待ちの間、必要書類をすぐにご提出いただけるよう予めご準備いただけますよう、ご協力お願いいたします。 各種申請用紙は待合室にご用意しておりますので、ご記入が必要な方は、お待ちの間にご記入ください(当館ウェブ サイトから申請用紙のダウンロードが可能ですので、事前に記入された申請書をお持ちいただけますと幸甚です。)。
Wile you are waiting for your turn, please be ready to submit the documents so that the application process will go more smoothly. Application forms are set on the table in the waiting room. Please fill out the application form if you have not completed it yet as well.
●入館時間 Check-in time
チェックインの開始時間が、予約時刻の10分前になります。また30分過ぎますと、予約は自動的にキャンセルされてしまいます。 10 分以上前に到着された場合、館内待合室(または別室)でお待ちいただけますが、10 分前になりましたら、番号札発券機にて必ずチェックインされ、番号札をお取りの上、順番をお待ちください。 ただし、Social Distancing ルールによる待合室混雑回避のため、できるだけご予約時間に合わせ、ご来館いただき ますようお願いいたします。
You may check-in 10 minutes prior to your appointment time. After 30 minutes, the appointment will be automatically cancelled. If you arrive too early, you may still enter and wait in the waiting room (or another room) without checking-in. But when the time comes, please make sure to check-in and get a ticket. However to prevent the waiting room from over crowed to practice social distancing, please try to come just in/on time.
