  • The Consulate-General of Japan in Sydney accepts visa applications and enquiries from NSW and NT residents only.
  • NSW and NT residents may include those with long-term Australian visas (permanent visa, student visa, temporary graduate visa, etc).
  • Those with an Australian travel document or certificate of identity documents can send a query to the Consulate’s Visa Section (cgryoji@sy.mofa.go.jp).

 

✖　Can’t apply

  • Residents of other states should refer to the diplomatic mission for their area.
  • We do not accept visa applications from visitor/tourist visa holders.

 

check-icon　Proxy Authorisation

  • Eligible applicants (including minors) may authorise a proxy to lodge an application or collect their passport on their behalf.
  • You will need to provide an authorisation letter, and your representative must show a valid photo ID when lodging and picking up.
