Applications now open for university students in New South Wales and Northern Territory
JENESYS 2018 - Tour to Japan for university students - December 2018
The Japanese Government's flagship youth exchange program JENESYS 2018 is offering two study tours to Japan:
- Course Theme A: Disaster prevention, reconstruction from the disaster (Sunday 2 December to Tuesday 11 December 2018)
- Course Theme B: Building peaceful societies, history and culture (Sunday 9 December to Tuesday 18 December 2018)

Thirty (30) positions are available for Australians currently enrolled as university students (Course Theme A - 10 positions; Course Theme B - 20 positions).
The Consulate-General of Japan in Sydney is looking to submit the names of university students from NSW and NT.
Among other prerequisites (cf. Application Guidelines point 4), the candidate should be presently studying at university, aged between 18 and 35 on the date of departure, have a strong interest in Japan and preferably be interested in studying in Japan in the future.
All application forms must be submitted by email by 1:00pm on Thursday 11 October 2018.
Announcement of successful candidates: Only candidates successfully recommended to the Embassy will be contacted by Friday 22 October 2018 (TBC).
Passports: Individuals must possess a valid passport at the time of application and submit a copy of it to the Consulate together with the Application Form.
NOTE: Applicants must choose either Theme A or Theme B (i.e. the same individual is not allowed to apply for both themes) for the JENESYS 2018 program.
